We tried a few months ago to take Emily to Chuck-E-Cheese and she totally had a meltdown about the big mouse in the costume. We were a little surprised since she enjoyed it lastyear on her actual birthday dinner. So we left that evening without even ordering food and haven't tried again until now. It goes to show how much they are now aware of their surroundings at this age.
Tonight it was her idea to go after picking strawberries. Of course we had Makenzie and Dallas with us too so that helped. She was nervous and cried a little upon arrival but she still ended up calming down and had a good time this time. Chuck-E-Cheese did walk the floor 3 times while we were there but we managed between Mommy, Daddy, Mamaw, & Papaw to occupy her enough that she never even seen him....I am really hoping this fear of people in costumes passes quickly. We had wanted to maybe go to Disney this year/Fall but I dont think we will because of this fear anxiety!
