Ready to feed Eddie
Nope...not today! But Daddy will!
The reticulated giraffe calf born on Saturday, August 15, continues to do well, and is now on exhibit with the rest of giraffes! The newest member of the herd is named Juani, a Swahili name that means "in the sun." The male calf was born to Takasa and was sired by our adult male, Eddie. The calf is just over six feet tall and weighs 160 pounds+.
We were excited to meet Juani...even if Emily chickened out on feeding his Daddy Eddie this visit! :-)
