Steak N Shake...lunchbreak

The girls had built up an appetite...sooo off to Steak N Shake. Emily's new favorite place to eat these days. The girls shared a grilled cheese and caramel apple shake. They look cute enough to work here!

The Pumpkin Patch....

WOW...sooo many to choose from!
The Girls with Mamaw Cathy

Emily leading the way..imagine that!
Emily giving Dakota a small pumpkin she found...

Emily wanted to take this one too...told her we had to bring her dad back for that!

Finally....the chosen ones!

Aren't they just too cute? Glad we caught up with Kalie

My sweet girl..

The pumpkin patch was a hit with the girls. Dakota was cracking me up because she was drawn to the green pumpkins. Emily was loving the big ones but in the end they both picked out some pretty small ones. That's okay...they only cost $1.00 and they were happy! My cousin Jolie and Kalie were also out there today with some friends and we were able to catch up with them at the end. What a fun day! Emily had not seen Dakota since January but you wouldn't have known it...they were best buds all day!

Visiting StoneyCreek Farms

Dakota was going to town pumping those legs and swinging by herself!
Oooohhh! Look at those pumpkins!

Today Mamaw Cathy was able to get Dakota so we could enjoy a day together at Stoneycreek Farms. We had sooo much fun at the park, running on haystacks, and of course the hayride to the patch! Not everyhting is open thru the week but we still had plenty to do that was fun and it was a lovely day for picking pumpkins!

Stop and Smell the "Mums"

We were thinking about grabbing a few Mums on our way out...so Emily was happy to help us pick the ones she liked. We ended up waiting since we weren't going straight home but it was fun to watch her interest. She was trying to figure out which ones smell the best....bet she didnt figure that one out!

Sooooo Many Apples to Taste!

Nope...didn't like this one!

Sooo many apples....too little time! The funny thing is that Emily really hasn't been much of an apple eater for a very long time. We pretty much figured this would be more of an activity she would enjoy and we would be stuck eating all of the apples. To our surprise...she tasted several. Didn't really like them still at all....until...we came to the little bitty Gala apples. She loved them! So we loaded up on several and she didnt stop eating them till we got in the car! Personally , I thought they tasted a little to soft inside but hey, we'll take what we can get!

Apple Orchard

We had such a great time today going to Stuckey Farms. The weather was awesome and that also made for a nice relaxing drive. We had never been to this Orchard before..but it wont be our last time. Emily loved running up and down the rows to pick the apples. We also watched the bees inside, looked around the store, had a yummy apple slushie and shared some candy corn....

We Got The Fever!!!

Hi Freddy Fever!

Last weekend Daddy took Emily to her first WNBA Fever game. We don't typically go to their games but since they are in the Play-Offs..we like to support all of our Indiana Teams. Not to mention $5.00 club level seats aren't bad either! They had sooo much fun that I went with them this evening to another game. Emily enjoyed eating cotton candy & popcorn and surprisingly was watching some of the game in between playing and cheering with the surrounding kids. We hope to make another game before it's all over...Go Fever!

Halloween Decorating

This morning we dragged out all of the indoor Halloween stuff. Emily had a ball diggin thru the totes of stuff. We even found Punkin (made at Build-A-Bear last year) hiding in a tote. She got a kick out of all the "spooky-spooky" stuff!

Goodwill Deal of the Day

We happened upon a Fisher Price Smart Cycle at the Goodwill a few days ago for $21.00. These things still go for $85.00-$100.00. So far, we are having fun with it when we have it out and help her with it. Not to mention great excercise for her! We bought 1 game for it..Elmo. Maybe Santa will bring the Dora game..LOL
