Happy Birthday Mamaw Cathy!

Tonight after we got off of work we headed as a last minute decision to Bazbeaux's in Carmel for pizza for Mamaw Cathy's Birthday. Ryan & Brandi and their kids were also able to drive up and join in. After some delicious pizza we went back to Papaw & Mamaw's for cake and gifts. It was after 11:30 when we got home but it was fun. The kids all played nicely while the adults got to set out back on the porch with the fire pit going. Mike even stopped by our house to get the Vitamix and made fresh fruit margaritas for the adults.....
Once again the boys were outside and not in the pictures but I did get one of Brandi & Sophia.

Happy Birthday Cathy!!!!

Wet Wednesday

Today I decided to get the splash mat out and popsicles ready for the girls when they all got up from their nap. It was a hot day with alot of sunshine and I knew they would want to go outside. Bella hadn't even seen the splash mat yet, so she was excited! The other two were saying "yeah" before we hit the grass. They had a fun day and honestly, I really did too!

Makenzie Broaddus was over spending a few nights and she was my big helper for the day. She enjoyed helping them play on the slide and making bubbles with the bubble maker in addition to the water fun. The girls also enjoyed the extra company! Thanks Kenzie!!!

Playdate @ Kalie's House

Today we decided to hang out with Jolie and Kalie at their house. Emily really enjoyed playing in her sandbox and jumping on their new trampoline. I don't think she has every played in either one. Kalie was pretty good at jumping and staying standing.....but Emily on the other hand was laying there and laughing alot!

I ran and got the girls lunch while Jolie set-up the new Pablo/Backyardigans sprinkler for them to play in after they ate. The girls had a nice afternoon and even enjoyed a minute on the swings. Then...we headed home so they could take a late nap!

Spray Park with Daddy

Since Mike has to miss out on alot of the things we do thru the week when he's at work, I decided that we should take Emily to her favorite burger joint(Mcdonalds of course) for lunch and then go to the free spray park at Inlow. He hasn't been back since her 1st Birthday party. I was excited for him to see what a huge difference a year makes with her there. We stayed for about two hours and was very pleased to see that it wasn't very bust at all. She was cracking us up sticking her head in the waterfalls and running around having a blast filling up her bucket. She is so not afraid of the water at all. We finished off the outing with some orange slices and off we went for a late nap for all of us! What a lovely afternoon with Daddy! All for the bargain price of $12.00 (lunch). LOL

Cook-out @ Our House

After the neighborhood parade, we caught up on some much needed rest around the house. At the last minute Kim and I decided that we hadn't had any Gamble barbecued chicken legs and thighs since Lou was here doing them. So in his honor this year and our cravings taking control..we decided to give it a shot ourselves. To our surprise they turned out great! She and Stephanie stayed till almost 10:00 and we had a nice low key barbecue with just us. Matthew also got home from work in time to eat and visit. Mike had the motorcycle out charging the battery and Matthew got on in dreamland. Sorry Matthew......but you can't have it.. I prefer not to see anyone of my kids on one of those things (running)!
As you can tell from looking at the picture of Stephanie and Emily...she does look like a Gamble. Some of their baby pictures are really hard to tell apart. I also let them take a pic of me since everyone thinks I am allergic to the camera. Kim wouldn't let us get her though!

Our Annual Neighborhood Parade

Our neighborhood parade was held on Saturday morning this year. We decorated Emily's wagon, put another festive dress on her (it was last years 12 month size), dressed Daisy Mae up..and headed out to the meet up spot by 9:30 so we could be on time to walk in the parade. We made a stop a street over and picked Lilly up to ride with Emily. The Carmel Fire Engine always leads our parade and it ends at the clubhouse for an early swim and popsicles. It was too cold in my opinion for 10:00 swimming and we barely made it up in time to participate, so we went home shortly after visiting a little. With another late night last night..there are no pics of me this morning. LOL

Fireworks!!!!

The rain went away and we were able to enjoy the Carmel Fireworks anyway. We were parked in the Sherwin Williams parking lot and had a great view. Emily enjoyed the end of her Dad's chocolate banana shake while patiently awaiting them to start and Matthew and his friend Jordan decided to leave their friends at the Fest and come over and sit with us during the show. It was a great family night but once again..another late one for Emily!

CarmelFest Fun

CarmelFest was fun but very crowded. We meet up with Jolie, Jamie, and the kids. The girls enjoyed a corndog while sitting in their strollers and the rest of us had to stand and eat. Emily enjoyed the kiddie zone..but the best for her was the ball area. We watched The Blue Monkey Sideshow and took Emily for a stroll thru the fire department. It started to rain after a few hours , so we headed back to seek shelter in the car until fireworks would begin......

Getting Ready to go out for the 4th

Well since lastnight was a late night at Ryan & Brandi's (almost 11:30 when we got to bed) and the rain Carmel got this morning, I decided to let Emily sleep in and pass on the parade this morning. I figure there is always next year. No need to take a tired and cranky toddler anyway.
We did get ready later and headed out for the CarmelFest after Emily had her nap. We dressed up for the 4th with our red, white, and blue and I even painted her toes blue. Thanks Mamaw Cathy for the dress and Mamaw Fleta for the jewelry!
Happy 4th of July we hope everyone had a nice holiday!!!!
p.s. Emily cracks me up with her new "cheese" face in the second photo

Happy 7th Birthday Peyton Malone!!!

Okay..so I feel really bad that I didn't get many pictures from my brother Ryan's house. My battery went dead and quite honestly we were having such a fun time visiting with family I hadn't really noticed. I didn't even get one of the Birthday boy, but he was too busy playing anyway. Brandi made a mexican feast and we can see the Beechgrove fireworks very well from their house. Emily enjoyed playing with cousin Sophia and Ava. This was her actual first time ever seeing fireworks or even holding a sparkler by herself. I have to say that she was most occupied with Sophia's lawnmower and the go cart in the garage. What can I say she has Maxwell blood in her. Wonder if she plans to race drag cars at IRP like Papaw Mike and Uncle Jason?

Thanks for a great time and good food as always and Happy Birthday Peyton! What an awesome turn out for a 5 hour notice. Too bad Kings Island was postponed due to the weather but the last minute party turned out great anyway!

Fun Day with Fallyn

Usually on Wednesdays I have both Bella and Fallyn but today only Fallyn was here. We have Bella on Mondays one on one but its not very often Fallyn is here by herself. So..since I get to take Bella & Emily to the park once in awhile, we used this opportunity to get to take Fallyn. Its too hard to have my eyes on all 3 so I stick to taking two at a time. After the park the girls had lunch and nap and was surprised to see that Matthew set-up the new sprinkler and splash mat that Emily didn't get to use at her birthday party. Fallyn wasn't to sure about the sprinkler but loved the mat. She did however let Matthew hold her and run thru the spinklers. What a fun day they had and lets not forget eating popsickles....look at their cute faces! After Fallyn's mommy picked her up, Emily persuaded her brother to get in and play ring around the rosey with her. What a good big brother to spend some of his day off with her!
