St. Patty's Day Parade

My Dad and I had pretty much decided that if the weather was nice this year on St. Patty's Day that we would attempt the parade. Thankfully, it was a nice day! I had never been able to take Emily yet because of the weather on the previous years. We had no problems parking and packed some water and snacks and we were off. Emily found a few friends at the top of the hill where we were sitting. I am thinking that she might have enjoyed running up and down the hill as much as watching the parade!

Donna and I planned a homemade pizza night and facials with our girls this evening. They all shared a boring pizza of sausage & cheese but I made mine piled high with fresh veggies including kale. They wouldn't even try it :( Then we made our facial mix and had many laughs applying them and then a relaxing 20 minutes! LOL Unfortunately, its just to bad for me that I don't pay attention to the writing on bottles because I almost caused myself to have a pretty bad reaction or shall I say chemical peel with Donna's brothers (acne) scrub that I pre-washed my face with out of his bathroom :( Oh well...lesson learned. We still had fun and by morning my face was back to normal.

Jolie & I both bought Living Social Deals for our girls to have their 5th Birthday Parties at Serenity Tea Room. Today was Kalie's party and it was sooo much fun! They enjoyed finger sandwiches, mini cupcakes, brownies, eclairs, biscotti, cookies, chocolate dipped strawberries, etc. Not too mention a very yummy flavored almond tea. After filling their bellies the lady read them a story and did a craft making crowns with them. We had a great afternoon with the girls!! I can't wait till our Rapunzel Tea Party! Happy 5th Birthday Kalie...we love you!

Meeting James Fisher Ranek

We were excited this morning to head over to the Ranek's to meet their new addition James Fisher. I made some cinnamon muffins and packed up some of the honey tangerines that I brought back from Florida to share and off we went! He is soooo tiny but he & Momma are healthy and doing fine at 4 weeks early :) We look forward to watching this little guy grow up! Congrats!!

Smores....

Mommy was feeling a little blue today. No major reason...just realized it's not sunny and nice here and had an echo/ stress test that wasn't completely good news, but we are hoping it's not real bad. We will know more after my 30 day halter monitor comes off & I see my cardiologist :( Actually.... Emily has also been dying to get the Smores maker out ever since we got it for Daddy on Valentines! So why not give it a try..chocolate makes everything better right??!!

Back to school for Emily ;) Today she will be taking her Spring pics that she missed on Tuesday and also is having pj's and pancake day in her class. She was excited to know that she didnt miss that since school cancelled out last week because she was supposed to....

Emotional Good-Bye's

So we hung around the RV all day and then had a late flight out at 9:00 p.m. That maybe wasnt the smartest thing I had decided to do. Especially since my Mom wasn't coming home with us like she did lastyear. Emily completely had a meltdown at good-bye, I wasn't feeling that well and had a little anxiety about flying with her alone & of course not real excited to come back home to nasty weather, and my Mom was even a little emotional about us leaving. Lets just say next year I think we will come down on our own and fly back together. Opposite of what we did this time. That seemed to work out better the year before. I couldnt believe the struggles I had trying to push the stroller, carry everything, and try to deal with her kicking screaming and no shoes on! LOL Not too mention she fought security not wanting to go thru! Oh well..she finally calmed down on the plane and we skyped Mamaw the next evening :)

Last Shopping Stop of our Trip..Harley Davidson

Before arriving back to the RV we had one more stop to make and this was the last shopping excursion of the trip since we leave tomorrow and dont plan to leave the RV lot! Emily found me a bike...the green one ! LOL She loved the snacks that were provided in a big snack room...and we both went home with new Ft. Myers Harley shirts & her first!

We had to do the beach just one more time said Emily!!! We all agreed that we had shopped enough and the weather was amazing. Perfect free day!!! So back to Sanibel today but we stopped at a different beach location with an awesome view....packed our lunch & another perfect day ;)
