Mommy can I have this too or shall I put it back?

On Christmas Eve Mike's Family, my best friend Donna and her kids, and Mom & Jeff come over for dinner. I baked a whole ham, mac & cheese, sausage/sage dressing....and everyone else brought a side dish. We topped off dinner with a yummy ice cream cake from Dairy Queen that has been a tradition since Emily's 1st Christmas.
After some great conversations and good eats...we exchanged gifts with Mike's family and Donna. Even though this was a sad year for Kim and Stephanie with the loss of Jack. We still all enjoyed each other and kept the loved ones that are missed right here in our hearts ...like they always were here every year before. Merry Christmas Papaw Lou and Uncle Jack!!We miss you!!

Christmas Fun with My Babysitting Kiddos

Today we spent the day enjoying our Christmas fun together. The kids played games, opened gifts, decorated gingerbread girls and "boy", made an ornament craft, and even watched "Mickey Saves Santa" for their movie of the day. It really surprised me at how well the kids liked eating the gingerbread cookies. Everyone really got along well today!! Not much fighting over toys....I bet they know Santa is watching!!! Thank you for the thoughtful gifts for me and the kids...you guys are all great!!! Merry Christmas.....Maines Family, Ranek Family, and The Costers!!!
p.s. Amber- Isn't it funny how Fallyn protests to not stay everytime but looks like she has the most fun out of all the kids! LOL

Annual Fudge and Cookie Baking Night

Today Daddy, Kim, and Grandma Kay made lots of yummy fudge (chocolate & peanut butter) and several dozens of chocolate chip cookies. They get together every year the weekend before Christmas and have a big baking day. Mommy even made some more of her lemon cookies, mexican wedding cake cookies, and gingerbread men before they took over her kitchen. LOL
It was a pretty cool weekend in Emily's eyes...surrounded by chocolate! Also, Grandma Kay spent the night Saturday night so Mommy and Daddy could go to dinner and a movie and just stayed until the baking was over Sunday night. She brought Emily some cool Xmas shirts that blink, new sippy cups, and a Backyardigans Colorform playset. Hey..its not Christmas yet..you spoiled girl!!!

Disney On Ice.....

Getting ready to head out....(Trying to hide my eye. LOL)

Hello Mickey Mouse!!

Mickey and Friends....

Jolie & Kalie

Emily getting her cotton candy and Mickey Mouse Crown

Not really digging the cotton candy...good thing we also got a crown with the $10 bucks!

Bye, Bye Mickey and Friends!!!

Home and ready for a nap!

Today we went to Conseco Fieldhouse with Jolie and Kalie to see Disney On Ice. It was a great show! We seen everything from Mickey & Minnie, Princesses, Lion King, Buzz Lightyear, Incredibles, Chipmunks, Donald & Daisy Duck, Goofy, etc......

I am glad we packed a grilled cheese and sliced apples. I just can't believe the rip off prices for things. The lights were $20.00 and cotton candy $10.00. Of course, Emily had to have popcorn but I can't complain because she really does eat it and ate her lunch all gone! Not to impressed with the cotton candy but she got a cute crown with it anyway! It was a nice Mommy and Daughter Day Out...even if I only had one eye to watch. LOL She was home and in bed for nap by 2:30. What a perfect afternoon!

No Pain No Gain...Right?

Well if I had known that it would take more than the 2-3 stitches in the crease of my eyelid like the surgeon and I talked about to remove that cyst..I probably wouldn't have gone thru with it. It apparently was deeper than he had thought so I have 3 dissolving ones inside the eyelid and 10 on the outside that will be removed next Friday. This has turned out to be more painful and awful looking than I was expecting!! All I can say..is please pray for me that it all looks okay when its healed because that is my main concern and always was.........I had never wanted my eye cut on like this! Sigh........

Bye, Bye, Cyst on My Eye

This is just a "SILLY" post toasting goodbye to that ugly cyst on my eye. I will have out-patient surgery tomorrow at the Carmel Surgery Center. I figured that since we met our family deductible this year having Emily's tube/adenoid surgery it will be paid at 100% .....it's time for it to go. I have avoided it for 12 years because I didn't want anyone cutting on my eye and it would go away and come back but since my pregnancy it has grown to its largest size ever and stayed that way and honestly I am just too sick of seeing it in pics like this!!! I know it has to look horrible!!
So...Good bye old friend....LOL

Picture With Santa

No words needed for this photo....... Ho, Ho, Ho!!

Playland after Breakfast with Santa

It wouldn't be a visit to the mall if we didn't let Emily play for awhile. She was in a good mood in playland. Maybe happy to be away from all the Christmas Characters. LOL

Breakfast With Santa

Yummy breakfast!!

Guess who's making his entrance......

Hey its Santa!

Hal and Holly Moose with Santa

Oh no....the snowman!

This morning we headed out at 8:00 a.m. to Castleton Mall's TGI Fridays for breakfast with Santa. They served eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes. To my surprise...Emily liked bacon and even the pancakes! I figured she probably wouldn't eat anything but sausage and today she wouldn't touch it. So unpredictable with eating.....
On another topic..not to my surprise...she was afraid of Santa, Rudolph, the Snowman, Mrs. Clause, and Hal and Holly Moose (from Build-A-Bear). We had to stay clear of all of them and she was happy. They had doorprizes, crafts, Coloring, games, dancing, and even a table set-up to make reindeer food for Christmas Eve. It was a nice morning...one that my become a tradition. Hopefully she grows out of being scared. I even topped it all off with taking her to get a pick sitting on his lap after the breakfast was all over. Lets just say Mommy was in the pic and she was crying. Mean Mommy!!
