Tomato Seeds

Daddy helped Emily plant her Elmo kit of tomato seeds tonight from her Easter basket. Hoping for some starts of our own to transplant to our garden that she can say she made all the way from seed. She is soooo into this kind of a thing!

Egghunt & Dinner at Mamaw Cathy's & Papaw Mike's

The only girls out of 13 grandkids..poor Olivia was solo till 2006

Bubbles on the patio...

Our crew except somehow Matthew ducked out and my dad decided to be a big kid..go figure!

Last stop of the day was dinner and egghunt at Mamaw Cathy's & Papaw Mike's. It did actually start drizzling rain by the time we got here but the kids didnt mind at all. They played and hunted eggs like it wasnt even happening. Mamaw Cathy has long since given up doing baskets for this crew, so if you want good candy including lots of chocolate. Then you have to find it! She also throws a few one dollar bills in some eggs and the golden egg is $5. Guess who found it?? Yep...it must have been Emily's year! She was not only lucky..but really doesn't mess around. She had alot of eggs here!! No limit here..find them and they are yours! Great evening with family! Not often that all the kids are in one place anymore but it worked out that today they were :)

Egghunt at Mamaw Fleta's & Papaw Jeff's

Matthew helping Emily find her eggs

Daddy & Emily

Stephanie & Emily

Everyone loves the egghunt here. Anyone 16 years and younger can participate...but the rule is that once you find your 8 eggs. Your done! Believe it or not ..sometimes that takes a while in their backyard. This year was the first year that Emily found the "Golden $20 Egg". She cleaned up with a total of $34.00 :) We love the idea of no chocolate or baskets for the kids anymore, only money eggs! Seems to make the parents happy with no more sugar, Mamaw doesnt have all the baskets to make up, and the kids LOVE money! Thanks for the awesome day!!

Getting Ready for the Bunny!!!

She wanted to show the bunny her pic for the "Best Egg" that she dyed :)

Before heading to bed...we put out Emily's basket and carrots for the bunny. But this year, she insisted on dip too. Well...and it wouldn't be right if she didn't eat a few too :)

"Peeps" Lemon Cookies

Aren't they cute??

Ooops...a peep is missing!!

Stephanie came up to spend Easter weekend with us and a little time out of her house since she was going to be stuck home for a while after her back surgery at Riley this upcoming Tuesday. While she was visiting we decided to make my lemon cookies for Easter but this year we added a fun twist. Green grass with a peep sitting on top. They were sooo cute and alot of fun to make!
