Emily LOVES the sand!

Stingray & Mermaid made out of sand

I cant even explain how happy Emily was just playing in the sand this afternoon. I think she smiled the whole time she was sitting on the beach playing! Amazing what a little sun, sand, bucket, and shovel can do!! We also enjoyed walking on the beach and checking out the other things that people had made with the sand.....

Lovely Beach Traffic

Finally..on the bridge..but still waiting!

We decided to head over to Ft. Myers beach today and as usual we weren't the only ones with that thought! From the bridge going down to the beach..its less than 3 miles! But it takes over an hour to get there from that point and today it also took 45 minutes to find somewhere to park! We had no idea that they were having a Shrimp Festival at the beach and they were using the beach parking lot to do it in! Personally that seemed stupid to me...but thankfully my Mom wasn't going to disapoint Emily and give up that easily after we had already sat for what seemed like forever to get there! We finally lucked into a parking spot off the road..whew!

Here's to You Daddy

BIG coconut shrimp just for you! Okay...really it was for Mommy but we thought of you and your love for shrimp!

Enjoying the Patio

We have really been enjoying sitting on the patio! Nothing like sunshine...natural vitamin D!!! Emily likes bringing her baby stroller out and giving her babies that she brought with us a ride too.

Florida Boat Ride

Today was a terrible wash out day of all night/ all day storms here in Ft. Myers! We actually received 6 inches of rain. So...we were off to find things to do indoors. We went to Edison Mall (indoor mall) and Bahama Breeze for dinner. This is Emily's version of a boat ride in Florida :-)

Naps on the run!

Look at her poor lip stuck in the glasses!

We started out around Noon and didnt return back to the rv until after 7:oo. This is how Emily took (2) 30 minute naps in between the running around and last stop was dinner at Stonewood (for my herb crusted grouper). I am sure this is what all naps will look like this week!

Coconut Point Mommy & Me Playzone

We coudn't leave Coconut Point without stopping in the Mommy & Me Playzone twice! On the way in and on the way out! Mom & I did get to look in some of our favorite stores but we really didnt get anything today. Great window shopping day in nice weather!

Next stop Coconut Point..Build-A-Bear

Here name is.....Bunny! Ha! Original huh?

Loving the free basket and candy

Emily's special treat this trip was getting to make Blossom Bunny at Build-A-Bear when we arrived at Coconut Point (outside) shopping mall. She was excited that the added bonus if you spend $20.00 right now...you get a basket and candy with your purchase. She had fun making her and we even picked out a shirt that says Florida for her to wear to make it even more of a souvenir. She named her Bunny...of course!

Quick stop in @ Sun Harvest

Laffy Taffy...gotta love it!

and keylime ice cream

First stop today was to Sun Harvest (orange store) to get my honey tangerines that I have looked forward to all year! Not to mention their yummy soft serve orange ice cream. Emily actually got keylime/chocolate swirl and we bought some honeybelle orange laffy taffy. I didn't think she would like it but she did and laughed everytime she slopped/stringed it out of her mouth. Hmmm, thats why its laffy taffy! It sure brought some giggles and Mommy was happy to leave with a few honey tangerines and shipped a big box home that will arrive when we get back :-)

Dinners Out.....

Silly kid!!!

After swimmimg we headed out for dinner and a little grocery shopping for the week. We hope to eat one simple meal lunch or grilled dinner at the rv and one meal out everyday. My vacation is no cooking this week! So I have to admit that dinners out are great! Tonight we actually had lobster tails...yummy! Tomorrow ...hopefully grouper somewhere :-)

Hi Daddy!!! See I did get to swim today!

Just wanting to show Daddy that I did get my way and swim first thing...LOL

At Last....Swimming for Emily

Patiently waiting on us to get ready....

Look at that smile!

Happy girl!

This is what my daughter has waited for months to get to Florida and do! First thing off the plane and we dropped off the suitcase and headed over for a swim before doing anything else since it was 81 degrees upon landing!
What a happy girl!

Florida Bound.....

She is barely bigger than our suitcase! LOL

Our plane coming in...

Grandma grabbed a shot of us coming off the plane

Finally...our Florida trip date is here! As usual, Emily did an excellent job on the plane! You would have never even known that she was a 3 year old according to the guy that was lucky enough to have to sit with us! She enjoyed her snacks that I packed, new Max & Ruby Easter coloring book, new elmo box puzzle (perfect for travel size), and three of her favorite shows that I downloaded on the Ipod for her to watch. It was a nice flight and now ...off to enjoy our girls vacation with my Mom!

Lazy Night

Look at my girls being lazy!

My girls....

Lately we have been making Fridays movie & pizza night. As you can tell...it turns out to be lazy night! Tonight we watched Disney's G-Force and also had popcorn. I am loving these kinds of nights!
